Courtship is the time-honored and successful time consuming of learning active someone, to know if there is compatibility for marriage. Often it involves friendship, discussing each individuals emerging plans, knowing the parents, and praying privately for Gods will in the matter. The hope to not compromise the morals and standards is where we see the contrast of courting and secular dating.As a Christian we should delight in the Lord above all else. (Matthew 1037) rather than following the dating scene, some people love their acquaintances more than they love God. The Bible says to say or believe that other person is everything or the most important thing in ones life is idolatry, which is sin (Galatians 520)In conclusion, the perception of secular dating rather than dating Gods way is where we can compare similarities but find major contrast. God wants his best for us in everything we do, especially in finding the right person for us to marry.
